No this is not the role of the Federal Reserve. The government is not supposed to be loaning money to McD's, and although the Fed Res. is not technically answering to the govt., it is supposed to serve the general public and not corporate interests in the name of serving the general public. I think it is going beyond its stewardship for reasons of corrupted power exchanges. That's just what it looks like and why there is a report on such abnormal behavior. It is not flashy enough to be a conspiracy theory on Enquirer. This story, in its simple transparency, is showing something is not right at the Fed Res.
