In a speech delivered to Hillsdale College in October 2011, former US Senator Phil Gramm presents a retrospective on Reaganomics. Senator Gramm discusses the challenges Reagan faced and compares and contrasts those challenges with those of the current economy. During his time in the Senate, Gramm was cosponsor of many bills aimed at cutting spending and balancing the budget. Prior to his government service, Senator Gramm taught economics at Texas A&M University.
