  1. This is a topic that I don't approach often because I have not educated myself on the topic to formulate an educated opinion. Therefore I look to the numbers. The chart above that shows an increase in the unemployment rate, a decrease in the labor participation rate, a substantial increase in the federal deficit and federal debt. Americans aren't making as much money as they were four years ago and the poverty rate has increased by 1.9%. Based off these numbers the last four years has done nothing beneficial for the U.S. economy. With hope that the future will get better I have to believe that these numbers can be turned around. Who is the person to set these numbers straight? Time can only tell but whoever it may be I hope for a better tomorrow.

  2. By those numbers, we are obviously worse off than we were 4 years ago! The best way I can see to flip it around is for the government to spend less than they make. It's simple budgeting that applies from individuals on up. People are scared to spend because they see that even the government is in a bind at the moment.

  3. Turn out that this summer I have been challenged with two classes that required to me to think, evaluate and make a statement. Based on the numbers provided in this article, we were better off four years ago. But here is another question, are these numbers a good interpretation of this current administration and economic climate? Are these the only information to be used and make a good judgement or decision for next elections. I would take a leap of fair that if President Obama is reelected would have a fair opportunity as former President George W. Bush left the office. 8 years might be time enough to get us back were we where hoping to be. I think 4 years aren't enough.
Remember former President FDR, was elected more than two terms to leave US economic better after the Great Depression of 1929.
I think if candidate Romney is elected, he wont have timd in his favor to reconstruct the American economy as President Obama will do.
